Boston City FC was founded in April 2015 by Renato Valentim, a successful real estate entrepreneur and owner of the restaurant chain TAVERN IN THE SQUARE, a successful development in the state of Massachusetts, and Jorge Ferreira da Silva, aka Palhinha, former Soccer player champion in several clubs in which he played, such as SÃO PAULO, CRUZEIRO, AMERICA-MG, BRAZILIAN SELECTION. Two-time interclub world champion and three-time champion of the Copa Libertadores da América.
Finished second in the Northeast Atlantic conference of the NPSL to 2015 champions New York Cosmos B
Qualified for the NPSL Playoffs in the Club’s 1st season in 2016
In November 2017, the Boston City Futebol Clube Brasil was launched in the city of Manhuaçu, Minas Gerais;
In June 2018 – the club’s first professional match in Brazil
In 2019 access to the first division of the Minas Gerais Championship of the U-15 and U-17 categories
Launch of the Talent Development Center Project in Manhuaçu-MG
in April 2021 start of works on the CDT in Manhuaçu-MG – Brazil
In May 2022 the club joins the USL Two league one of the best leagues in the USA
Brazilian immigrant who worked his way up to become a partner in a restaurant chain employing over 1000 people, he is the owner of Tavern In The Square, a landmark of 11 restaurants throughout the Greater Boston area that has a strong record of giving back to the community programs
